We have 2 of the most experienced Dive Guides in Seno and Menyun. As there are 12 divers this time around, we will split into 2 groups of 6 divers. This should be a great Alor trip! Get your macro kits ready everyone!!
About Sea Safari Cheng Ho (www.seasafaricruises.com):
Cheng Ho is a luxury LOB boat with a capacity of 24 guests. But for this trip we will try to limit the number to fewer divers for a better diving experience.
CABINS: 14 Air conditioned cabins with private bathroom, basin, toilet, hot and cold shower. Toiletries pack in each cabins.
RESTAURANT: Air conditioned, TV, VCD, one chiller showcase for soft drinks.
SPEED BOATS: 3 units of aluminium, complete with the out-board engines.
SPACIOUS DIVING DECK.
EMERGENCY: Inflatable Life rafts, life vests, reading buoys. Smoke detector in each rooms. Fire extinguishers, fire hoses, fire hydrant.

Itinerary:
Day 0 : We will start with a Dinner at D Corner on the night of 26th October. All KSDC members in Bali are cordially invited.
The Dive Itinerary for Kupang - Alor - Kupang is being finalized.
However it will include :
Day 1
We will meet at Bali Airport Domestic Terminal before 9 a.m. Group check in and fly to Kupang. Sea Safari Rep will meet us at Kupang Airport and we will board the Cheng Ho. Check out dive in Kupang, and if possible a night dive. There are many sites on Semau Island near Kupang. Low tide is at 4.40 pm We will sail overnight to Alor.
Day : 2 to 7
Pura, Pantar, Alor
We could cover many areas of Alor's famous dive sites in these 6 days. Ternate has Half Moon Bay, and Crocodile Rock. In Reta, dive site named The Arch, a beautiful place where on the wall huge underwater cervices form a large arch at about 20 to 30 meter. There are whip corals and gorgonians growing here. On some of the over 3 meter long whip corals you might find the rare coral shrimp (Pontonides sp.). Another famous dive site on Reta is Babylon: good site for nudibranchs encounter. Also, Coral Cliffs, a steep wall with a lot of whip corals, some 3 to 4 meter long.
Furthermore, in Pura, there are many famous dive sites called Sharks Galore Clown Valley and Coconut Grove: This is a very good dive site for small critters like Mandarin dragonets, scorpionfishes and pegasus sea moths. Another dive site at Pura is north of the Jetty where actually you could still see some bubbles coming out from a volcanic source
On Pantar there is a dive site called called Sea Apple Slope: This is a good place to find the rare filter-feeding sea cucumbers called sea apple (Pseudocolochirus violaceus). This cucumber is round and of a bright red and purple color with white or yellow stripes and can also be found in the Komodo and Rinca islands. Another site is Biang Abang. This is the best place for small animals such as the wonderpus, mimic octopus, Rhinopias, ghostpipefishes, spearing mantis shrimp, frogfish, devil fish, pegasus and colemanshrimp.
Currents are expected to be strong, however morning low tides (about 7 am and high tide around 1.48pm on 28th October) means we will choose dive locations which are suitable.
Day 8 : Head towards Kupang
Our 3pm flight will allow us to do 3 dives on the final day, so we may choose to dive Alor area or return to Kupang if the diving sites were good when we dived the first day.
Day 9 : Kupang
Prepare for disembarkation. Airport Transfer after lunch. Flight back to Bali at 3pm.

Flights Bali - Kupang - Bali will be arranged by coordinator on Batavia
This the the only direct flight, Lion and Merpati go via other places and take 3 to 4 hours.
