Raja Ampat Triton Bay 2014

Date: 15 - 25 September 2014
Duration: 11 days

Highlights:

Lets go to the Kaimana Regency Submariners! The magical Triton Bay.
Scientists from State University of Papua and Conservation International
were wowed by the biodiversity, sheer numbers of fish life and corals and
stunned by over 20 NEW species of marine life in a 2006 survey. Deep
ocean upwellings combined with rivers emptying into the Bay has
resulted in a profusion of life. While this means the rich nutrient
waters may sometimes reduce visibility, there are clouds of schooling
fish to make up for it. The waters also provide nutrients for large varieties of
coral.

This 6,000 square kilometers of Marine Park is an extraordinary
treasure trove of marine species. We will dive the best sites including
Aiduma Island and the Iris Strait, Namatotte and Sagin Islands, and
Saruenus Island.

If you want to see what the fuss is about, go to You Tube and enter
"Triton Bay" and watch.
