Night Delight SCUBA Dive Sites

Category: Alor IslandNight Delight
The third dive was at a site called Nite Delight. I was wondering why we were diving an obviously good-for-night-dive site in full daylight, but the site was pretty enough during the day. We saw some blue-spotted stingrays and some nudibranchs. I wouldn't call it a fantastic dive, but it sure beats my three-blind-mice dives in Singapore waters!

KSDC trips to Night Delight:

Reef type: Wall with numerous small caves
Access: Liveaboard
Visibility: 15-20 meters
Current: No current
Coral condition: Relatively healthy, although some parts seem to have been ripped out
Marine life: Blue-spotted stingray, nudibranchs, lionfish, banded boxer shrimp, stonefish
Highlights: Traditional fish traps, made of bamboo, each about 2m long, placed at 5-10m
Accomodation: Small cottages
Tips: Despite of its name, this site is also good for a day dive, although no pelagic
Difficulty: Easy
